OPENSTEP names: <name>[.<version>].<os>[.<arch>].<b|s|d>.tar.gz
         readme: <name>.[.<version>].README

          <>: mandatory
          []: optional

          We only want to keep one readme for a file. In this case the
          version string may be omitted for the .README. In cases where
          more versions are kept (e.g. OmniWeb.1.0 and OmniWeb.2.x.y)
          A version string on each README is mandatory.

<arch>: as usual for Mach: 
                  N: Motorola 680xx (NeXT)
                  I: Intel
                  S: Sun
        for Windows 32:
                  I: Intel (on any hardware)
                  D: DEC native
                  P: PowerPC native
                  M: MIPS native (available?)
                   ... others?
        for Solaris:
                  I: Solaries x86 (Intel hardware)
                  S: Sparc architecture.

<os>:   m: Mach
        w: Windows 
        s: Solaris

EXAMPLE:

	If you had an app called "Test.app" compiled for OpenStep/Mach and it was version #2,
it should be called

	Test.2.0.NIH.m.tar.gz

and the ASCII readme should be

	Test.2.0.README
