LIVE VIDEO HARDDISK RECORDING

Munich, March 03. 1996, ipc -- the response for realtime video
harddisk recording was too less, as to make a final product.
Therefor we now release beta 0.009 as free final release.


DESCRIPTION
===========
VDORecorder is the first application, which supports live video
harddisk recording on NEXTSTEP with the full frame rate. You
can record motion JPEG movies direct to harddisk as well as play
them back on video out or in a freely scalable overlay.
Supported are frame rates up to 30 frames per second. You may
even convert them into a NEXTIME file format and play them back
on any machine with NEXTIME without any additional hardware support.

Many configuration problems from the earlier beta could be fixed.

INTENTION
=========
Forget about video tapes, rewinding, and piles of video cassettes.
The CODY option for Screen Machine II and Movie Machine Pro offers
completely digital video editing. Up until now nonlinear cuts
directly from hard disc were reserved for professional video studios.
The CODY option enables you to directly store and retrieve videos
from your hard disc using motion JPEG. Being NEXTIME compatible,
the CODY option will give you the next dimension of video editing
under NEXTSTEP.
