dosname

a /bin/csh script to transform NeXT filenames into DOS filenames (8.3 
format).  It makes a copy of the file (rather than renaming the original) 
and checks to see if another file already exists with that name.

I didn't write it.
I don't promise anything about it.
It works for me.
